Who is Sieg

Sieg is a small company in Crozet, Virginia, making speakers and accessories for home listening setups. It was founded by Derek Sieg, and every product we sell is assembled by hand in our workshop here. 

We make bookshelf speakers and the objects that live around them: stands, braided speaker wire, a record rack, a leather mat, a brass record weight. Everything is built from the same four materials — walnut, European birch plywood, raw brass, full-grain leather — because we like how they look in a real room and how they age in one.

Why hand assembly

Because it’s the scale we want to work at. Hand assembly means the person who built your speakers also checked them and packed them. The First Edition S14s are individually numbered — a run of 250 pairs — because we think knowing your pair is your pair matters.

It also means small imperfections: grain that varies, brass that patinas at its own pace, leather cut by hand. We consider that a feature. Mass production is very good at sameness. We’re after something else.

• Speakers are covered for five years. Everything else we make is covered for one.
• No registration, no paperwork. If something’s wrong with how it was made, we'll make it right.
• Thirty days to change your mind, in original condition and box.
• The natural aging of raw brass, birch, and leather is not a defect. It’s the product working as intended.
